LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Control Systems Engineer in Prospect, SA. 

As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Supervisor - Senior Controls Engineering, where your role will primarily involve designing, developing, integrating, testing, and maintaining PLC-based automation and control systems. You will play a vital role in our innovative energy projects, working across the entire lifecycle of control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop control systems using Allen-Bradley CompactLogix processors and Citect SCADA and other SCADA products such as Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA, AVEVA GeoSCADA (formerly ClearSCADA). 
• Maintain existing control systems employing various platforms, including Allen-Bradley (Logix and SLC500), Siemens S7, and Red Lion Modular Controller. 
• Develop communication systems utilising Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU, HART protocol, CANbus, and various HMI systems. 
• Apply knowledge in electrical engineering, covering power distribution, control circuit schematic diagrams, electrical protection systems, network communications, and VFD configuration. 
• Prepare comprehensive control system design documentation, including specifications, control philosophy, I/O lists, cause and effect, and scopes of work. 
• Provide technical support to the Operations Group, encompassing continuous improvement, maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and fault finding. 

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent technical experience
• A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing, integrating, testing and commissioning PLC-based automation and control systems
• Proficient with Rockwell Automation RSLogix 5000/500 software and Citect SCADA
• Experience in FAT and SAT 
• Strong technical skills in PLC and RTU programming 
• Effective organisational and time management capabilities with a keen focus on detail
• Australian Drivers Licence
