LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Business Development Renewable Gas and Fuels Coordinator in Brisbane, Queensland.  

As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Manager – Renewable Gas and Fuels where your role will primarily involve identifying and progressing renewable gas and biofuel project opportunities, building stakeholder relationships, coordinating project feasibility assessments, cultivating opportunities and supporting the development of projects across LMS' and Helmont's renewable gas and biofuel portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and manage client relationships
  • Identify and progress renewable gas and biofuel business opportunities across agriculture, wastewater, and industrial sectors
  • Coordinate and contribute to project feasibility studies, engaging and managing external consultants as required
  • Support the development and negotiation of commercial agreements, including MOUs, term sheets and offtake agreements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including potential feedstock suppliers, gas network operators, and offtake partners
  • Monitor and analyse policy and regulatory developments in the renewable gas and biofuels sectors
  • Prepare project reports and briefings for management and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate responses to expressions of interest and requests for proposals from potential project partners
  • Support cross-functional project teams through project development stages from concept to final investment decision
  • Represent LMS/Helmont at industry events and forums related to renewable gas and biofuels

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar business development or professional role in renewable energy, biogas, oil and gas, or related industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Commerce or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of renewable gas (biomethane), biofuel markets and technologies preferred
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Regular Intrastate and Interstate travel
  • Australian Drivers Licence
