
LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Regulatory Approvals Coordinator in Prospect, South Australia.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of innovative bioenergy and circular economy projects. Working in close partnership with the Group Manager - Project Development and Compliance, you will play a key role in securing and managing planning and environmental approvals across a variety of jurisdictions. The position offers exposure to all stages of the approvals process, from pre-lodgement engagement through to compliance during project execution. You will collaborate with internal project teams, planning authorities and external consultants to support the efficient and timely delivery of projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination and preparation of planning and environmental approval applications across a range of bioenergy and circular economy projects in Australia and New Zealand
- Liaise with statutory planning authorities to obtain preapplication advice and participate in pre-lodgement meetings
- Manage the submission process for development applications, ensuring alignment with state and local planning policies
- Coordinate external consultants and specialists to deliver supporting technical assessments, surveys and reports
- Monitor and report on compliance with development conditions throughout the project lifecycle
- Secure building and occupancy permits in accordance with relevant legislation and the National Construction Code
- Represent LMS in discussions with councils, government agencies and other key stakeholders to support timely and positive approval outcomes
- Review, analyse and finalise technical documents and planning reports to support project decision making
- Contribute to the assessment and evolution of project designs from concept stage through to delivery
- Provide timely updates to internal project teams, contributing to project scheduling and critical path tracking for approval milestones Coordinate public notification materials and attend community consultation events as required
- Prepare and manage subdivision and easement applications and ensure documentation meets all regulatory and internal quality standards
- Maintain accurate records and ensure document management aligns with established protocols
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Provide regular reporting on the status of applications, highlighting risks and opportunities to project teams and leadership
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Planning and/or Environmental related discipline
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing complex planning approvals
- Experience in development approval applications for renewable energy projects
- Experience in a project or construction environment
- Australian Drivers Licence
