LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS requires the services of a full-time or part-time Environmental and Approvals Coordinator in Brisbane CBD, Queensland. 

As an Environmental and Approvals Coordinator, you will have a key role in delivering LMS’  bioenergy and circular economy projects across Australia, New Zealand and the United States.  Working as part of the Environment and Compliance Team you will be supported  with access to LMS’ inhouse engineering, legal  and technical capabilities, to engage in all phases of project development to delivery. Alongside internal teams you will engage with government authorities, and external consultants to help deliver outcomes efficiently and on schedule. This opportunity suits someone with a detail focus and practical experience who is eager to further develop their skills in a focused, purpose-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate environmental and regulatory approval applications across projects in Australia, New Zealand and the United States 

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and support LMS’ compliance and environmental priorities. 

  • Work with key stakeholders such as councils, government agencies and community groups  to support timely and positive approval outcomes  

  • Ensure the timely submission of approvals and track and report on progress in alignment with development milestones 

  • Review planning and development applications and specialist reports with attention to detail and ensuring alignment with the strategic interests of LMS 

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification are not required in lieu of demonstrated experience, but will be highly regarded. 

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a role in planning, environmental management or a related discipline with transferable skills  

  • High attention to detail and ability to think strategically. 

  • Ability to communicate complex planning and/or environmental concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Experience working in project or construction environments. 

  • Australian Drivers Licence
