
LMS Energy is at the forefront of emissions reduction and renewable fuel innovation across Australia. We are currently recruiting for a full-time or part-time Senior Project Engineer located in Prospect, South Australia.
Reporting directly to Group Leader – Engineering, this role will play a key role in enabling the Engineering team to deliver on key objectives through effective support and collaboration. This role primarily involves providing technical engineering support across the business development and project delivery lifecycle for LMS’ renewable gas and biofuel portfolio.

Responsibilities:
- Provide project engineering support for project feasibility studies including process design review, equipment specification, and technical risk assessment
- Coordinate with external engineering consultants including EPCM contractors, owners engineers, and specialist technology providers for project development and delivery
- Support business development activities through technical due diligence, site assessments, and engineering input to commercial proposals
- Assist in preparation of technical documentation including engineering datasheets, process flow diagrams, and preliminary designs for project development
- Coordinate technical aspects of project delivery including engineering reviews, contractor assessment, and quality assurance oversight
- Support cross-functional project teams through technical input to permitting applications, environmental assessments, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Assist in evaluation and selection of biogas upgrading technologies, anaerobic digestion systems, and associated process equipment
- Provide technical support for stakeholder engagement including gas network operators, technology providers, and regulatory authorities
- Support development of technical specifications and standards for renewable gas projects
- Assist in technical risk assessment and mitigation planning for project development and delivery
Requirements:
- 10 years’ experience in power generation, chemical process, energy or gas related industries
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Process Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
- Understanding of gas processing, chemical engineering principles, and environmental technologies
- Knowledge of Australian engineering standards and regulatory frameworks for gas and renewable energy projects
- Experience with biogas, biomethane, or renewable gas projects is desirable
- Experience in biogas production and biomethane upgrading processes or similar oil and gas processing experience desirable
- Deep familiarity with international engineering and safety standards, strong technical judgement, and a disciplined approach to project governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Experience in complex engineering and project delivery activities across power generation, and industrial gas portfolio
- Experience working with external consultants and managing technical interfaces
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Regular interstate travel
- Australian Drivers Licence
