LMS Energy is Australia’s largest emissions reducer and the national leader in biogas-to-energy and solar on landfill. LMS Energy requires the services of a part-time Generation Technician to be based in the southeastern suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. As part of our team, you will collaborate with the Manager – Generation, where your role will primarily involve providing electrical support on landfill biogas-to-energy and solar projects, as well as servicing new innovation projects including Data Centre’s and Anaerobic Digesters.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance work
  • Coordinate, program and commission LMS biogas plant and equipment
  • Develop commissioning plans, testing and verification checklists, and post project closeout plans
  • Provide technical support to the Operations Group 
  • Apply a wholistic and hands-on approach to fault finding field equipment
  • Oversee electrical spares and stock holding at each site/warehouse 
  • Apply an understanding and application of relevant standards, codes and guidelines

 

Requirements:

  •  A team player, great work ethic, shows initiative, resilient and committed with strong communication skills
  • Electrical trade qualifications – ‘A’ Grade Electrician 
  • A minimum of 3+ years working experience
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Instrumentation is desirable
  • Experience in Hazardous Area (EEHA) is desirable
  • Experience in PLC Controls and switchboard manufacturing is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of safety and electrical regulations
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • Some intrastate travel is required
